Nice to meet you Bellingham

Sooo, remember my last story where I was at Seattle airport ready to meet my hostfamily? Well I met them that evening and they are GREAT!!
I went straight to bed when we came to the house, but the next day they showed me around. The house is so nice! It is right at the Whatcom Lake. The view is beautiful and peaceful, so I really like that.
During the weekend I started to get a little bit homesick. The people were new, the place was new and I really missed the group as well.
The Sunday was the worst. I couldn't eat a thing and everything I saw reminded me of home. So I went to bed really early just to get some sleep.
Monday was the day when the schedule started. I went to Whatcom Community College to meet the group again and that was really nice. The moment I saw them I already felt better. Ulli (a teacher from Whatcom) showed us around college and after that we had a really nice baseball lecture. We are going to a baseball game on Friday evening, so this was kind of a preperation for that.
Today we went to downtown Bellingham to have a tour from Ulli. He showed us the nice places of Bellingham and told us some interesting facts.
After that we went to Ferndale. Now, in Ferndale there is a Pioneer Park and in this park they show you how people lived back in the days. We saw some really cool things and the thing I liked the most was the classroom. The lady who gave us the tour told me the punishments the children got when they were naughty. (I'm glad I didn't live in that era!)
So I hope I gave you a nice update from my trip here in Bellingham. It is really nice here and I really like my hostfamily.
